Welcome to

Media - Frequently Asked Questions

all about why I am running to save the lives of

Sick and Needy people around the world

Just some of the many questions asked by interested persons and media persons around the world about my Marathon running and Charitable fund raising.

Q. Who is this Marathon runner?

A. I am British, an International Property Developer, Physically fit, Buddhist and a self made successful entrepreneur, holding the largest privately owned Caribbean property portfolio.

Q. What made you get up and train to run a Marathon?

A. Running with a dog, see page "London Marathon" for details

Q. Why did you first run for the charity you chose?

A. My belief is that having money is not everything, having respect and caring for others especially those most in need is far more important if one wants to live a fulfilling life. Running the London Marathon is just one of many contributions I will personally be making towards children most in need.

Q. Do you think the money you raise for your chosen charity will make a difference?

A. The next £1(Sterling) I raise for charity or charitable projects could be the £1 that saves the life of a child, the more £1's $'s Euros Rubles Yen (and other currencies) I raise the greater the possibility of a 100% full proof support.

Q. What motivates you to run so often and so far?

A. The thought of one child in the world dying is one child too many.

Q. Are you contributing financially to the charities you run for?

A.  I will be selling via auction a Caribbean apartment during 2008, this will be sold as 52 Timeshare weeks, 80% of all money raised from the auction will be divided equally between the Charitable Projects listed in this web site, with the remaining 20% being used for Management, Maintenance, Utility bills and Taxes payable in connected with the 52 Timeshare weeks plus the advertising, promotion and administration necessary to host such a unique auction.  (See Auction page for details).

Q. If you are so supportive of Charities why did you then decide to support  Charitable Projects established by yourself?

A. First, I have always been supportive of Charitable good causes. Second, when I first ran the London Marathon I thought it would be my first and last Marathon, since that first time I find it difficult not to train on a daily basis because I enjoy running. At first I decided to Auction one of my Caribbean properties with the proceeds going to one charity, then I realised that if I was to sell the property by dividing it into 52 Timeshare weeks then I could also run on behalf of other charities and include those charities as beneficiaries of the Auction because I could raise more money this way. Now I have desided that the best course to take is to allow the property auction to benefit the Charitable Projects I have and am continuing to establish and if a charity approaches me for their support then I would allow them consideration as to whether they qualify for such support.

Q. Will you host further Property Auctions and will you include other Charities as beneficiaries?

A. If this Property Auction proves to be successful then yes I am keen to repeat the process the following year, it all depends on whether or not enough people support this years Property Auction, if people don't want to bid for the Timeshare weeks and help the Charitable good causes then their would be no point in doing the same next year.

Q. Why do you want to give away your properties to Charitable Projects it seems a little over generous?

A. When I was 18 I worked as a Community Service Volunteer and lived in a handicapped and deprived Children's home, caring for those children is and always will be the greatest and most satisfying job a person could ever have, I was paid £4 a week and lived and worked with those children 24/7. I learned one major thing from that job, giving is far more important than receiving.

I believe I came into this world penniless with no clothes on my back, I was bought up in a poor family home, I plan to leave this world in the same way by ensuring that by the time I die I will have already given away everything I own and hopefully changed the lives of many of those sick and needy people in this world which I aim to help. What I have achieved to date with this web site is I believe, just the beginning.

Q. Why are you selling the Timeshare weeks by way of a Property Auction.

A. If I sold the Timeshare through the main stream media route then Charitable Projects would not be acknowledged in such a load way. My aim is to encourage far more people to give to Charitable Projects by way of my Property Auction and at the same time let people experience what it feels like knowing that what they have purchased has helped to educate children in Africa, children dying of HIV and AIDS provided homes for abandoned children and much more.

I want to encourage the bidders of my Property Auction to go on for the rest of their lives supporting Charities and Charitable good causes, who knows, perhaps one day they will donate a property of their own to charity.

Q. If you own so many properties, why don't you just keep them and live comfortably in one of your Penthouses?

A. I am a Buddhist, I have been so for over 20 years, perhaps I have been a Buddhist all my life, my Buddhist name is "Dhammavihari" meaning the one who teaches the words of the Lord Buddha. If I thought, lived and presented myself perhaps like business men such as Sir Alan Sugar or Donald Trump then I could not sincerely be a Buddhist. I would be more happy living in a Buddhist Monastery for a year rather than live in one of my own Penthouses.  I am more happy running along the road rather than riding in the back of a Rolls Royce.

I prefer to live a simple quiet life doing good wherever and whenever I can.

I think that I have answered far too many questions about me, more should be asked about all Charities in this world in the hope that they will get more recognition and encourage more people to give money to them.

Remember

Helping Charitable Projects is far more important than spending money on your next

Burger

The money you spend on unnecessary luxuries could be better used to help those most in need, one day either you or someone close to you could be stricken with illness, at that time you will then realise the importance of helping while you can and the necessity of web sites such as this one to show you how easy it is to help.

You can help the Charitable Projects listed in this web site right now
