Welcome to the

Children of Mozambique

I have taken it upon myself to support a school which has one class of 60 children in a village located in the North of Mozambique, over 200 Kilometres from the nearest major town. When you look at these children just remember that a report which is published by UNICEF, states that their life expectancy is just 37 years of age.

Normal school lesson with 1 of 2 teachers and just some of the class of 60 children, classes are usually held underneath a village tree, behind them you can see their school, which on rainy days prevents them from attending school. My aim is to make their school life better than this.

Including; Improving the Curriculum and Teacher Training

Past generations of Mozambicans suffered the perils of war for many years in Mozambique, now these children face an even bigger peril, that of HIV and AIDS and if they survive that they can still expect a life expectancy of 37 years.

This is why it is so important to support these children at such a young age, as many of them my not reach their teenage years.

They need not only the support of one businessman like myself they need the help of thousands of businessmen and people in general to make their life a happy one for the time they are with us.

Children being taught inside their small school which is one of four small schools in this village.

It is my intension to support 4 schools in the same village during 2008, each of the schools has up to 60 children sometimes more.

With the wonderful support of good friends and family including; Yurika from Japan, Jiyoung from South Korea, Amphon from Thailand and Flora from China I aim to make 2008-9 a great year for Charity fund raising. Yurika, Jiyoung and Flora have recently spent 6 months in Mozambique as Volunteers helping poor Mozambican families. We should all applaud young people who are prepared to endure personal hardship in order to help the poor people of Africa.
