UNICEF
have reported that the life expectancy of these children is just 37
years.
Many
of their parents suffered the perils of years of civil war, now these
children suffer an even bigger peril - HIV and AIDS.
This is why it is so important for us to help these children and
make their lives as enjoyable as possible whilst they are so young, also
because many of them will not see there teenage years.
Going to School for these children is
the most fun part of their lives, which is why we want them to feel a
part of their school by providing a simple thing such as a school
uniform for each child.
It
is estimated that deaths amongst Mozambique children under five was
117,000 during 2004, which is 320 deaths every day.
By the time a UK child has
completed their next school lesson around 13 Mozambique children under
five will have died.
These children have never known the
luxuries which we take for granted.
These
children live with their families in small one room, mud built thatched
houses, with No electricity, No running water, No Nintendo games
or computers.
Providing
these children with a school uniform is seen as a luxury for these
children and their families.
My
aim is to also take the supporting of these children a step further than
just providing uniforms. I aim to raise money by way of this web
site and my Caribbean Property Auction, providing these children with a newly
built school. |
